TYPE: Object State
TITLE: Morph Tool

The Morph tool is used to create shapes for modifying character
deformations.

Select the geometry to manipulate, and right-click to complete the operation.
You will be presented with a handle for editing the geometry. Edit the geometry
to the desired shape for the current frame.

The new shape will be inserted into the network just above the first
BlendShapes SOP found when searching up from the displayed SOP. If no
BlendShapes SOP is found, one will be created under the currently displayed
SOP.

Shapes can be created relative to a rest geometry. This is indicated by
collapsing the BlendShapes SOP into a subnet and wiring a rest geometry to the
subnet's second input before entering the Morph tool. When this
configuration is detected, newly created shapes will use the subnet's second
input for the rest geometry.

A new shape can be created by re-entering the Morph tool state.

Shapes created with this tool are blended into the original geometry. The
blend factor for the current shape can be manipulated with the provided HUD
slider.

WHAT TO DO NEXT

Set keyframes on the blend factor to smoothly blend in the newly created shape.
