TYPE: SOP
TITLE: Delete SOP

The Delete operation deletes geometry as selected by a group specification or a
geometry selection by using either of the three selection options:
by Primitive Number, by a Bounding Volume, and by Primitive Normals.
You can choose to delete the selected or the non-selected geometry.

This operation can also delete profile groups (e.g. 0.5 1.2-3.9) and mixed
groups (e.g. 0 0.5 4-12 1.2-3.9). It can also delete entire paste hierarchies
or pasted surfaces, causing the remaining hierarchy to update. By deleting the
root of a paste hierarchy, the whole hierarchy becomes undone.

Parameters:

Group - Group to delete. If blank acts on all input geometry.
Operation - Choose to delete selected or non-selected geometry.
Entity - Delete points or primitives.
Geometry Type - Type of geometry to delete.

Number - Delete based on point or primitive number.
Enable - Enable deletion by number.
Operation - Delete by a pattern, a range, or an expression.
Filter Expression - This is evaluated for every point or
primitive. If it is true, the element is deleted.
It supports all the local variables of the Point
                    and Primitive operations. /filter
Pattern - Enter the pattern to be deleted.
Start/End - The range of geometry to be deleted. /rangeend
    Select_of_ - Select every # of # primitives/points. /select1 /select2

Bounding - Delete based on inclusion in a bounding box.
Enable - Enable deletion by bounding box.
Bounding Type - Shape of bounding volume.
    Size - Size of bounding volume. /sizex /sizey /sizez
    Center - Center of bounding volume. /tx /ty /tz

Normal - Delete based on normal direction.
Enable - Enable deletion by normal.
Direction - Direction of normals of geometry to /dirx /diry /dirz
                    be deleted.
Spread Angle - Angle of deviation from specified direction for /angle
                    which geometry will be deleted.

Degenerate - Delete based on degeneracy of primitives.
Delete Degenerate Primitives - Delete primitives that do not have the
                                   minimum number of unique vertices./degenerate
Delete Zero-Area Faces - Delete faces whose points are colinear. /zaf
Treat Open Faces as Closed - Consider open faces as though they were
                                   closed when computing area. /doopen
Tolerance - Precision of algorithm used to compute
                                   degeneracy and colinearity. /tol

Delete Unused Groups - Will remove any groups who have no entries.

Local Variables:

N - The number minus one of points or primitives, depending on the "Entity" choice.
