NAME Edit Boot File PURPOSE The License Manager must be running on this machine for users to start Corel WordPerfect. If you are performing this installation as a superuser, the Installation program will start the License Manager for you automatically as part of the installation process. If you are not currently logged in as a superuser, you must start the License Manager yourself after the installation is completed. When you reboot this machine, the License Manager will not start unless you do one of three things: - Log in as a superuser and use the wplicense -s command in the shbin10 directory to start the License Manager manually. - Log in as a supersuer and start Corel WordPerfect so that Corel WordPerfect starts the License Manager for you. - Add the command to start the License Manager to the UNIX system boot file so that starting the License Manager is included in the boot process. STEPS To have the Installation program edit the UNIX system boot file for you, 1 Choose to update or not update the boot file." - If you choose to update the boot file, the original file will will be backed up with a .bak extension. - If you choose not to update the boot file, you will need to start the License Manager manually each time you reboot this machine. You can make this change later by following the instructions in wpbin/README.FLEXlm.
